Homer Fire Protection (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the PayNow Workflow application (“Application”), which integrates with Intuit QuickBooks Online (“QBO”) and Valor Pay Tech to generate payment links from your invoice data. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Application accesses, how it is used, and your choices regarding that data.

1. Information We Access

When you authorize the Application to connect to your QuickBooks Online account, it accesses the following invoice data in read-only mode:

The Application does not access, modify, or delete any other data in your QuickBooks Online account. It does not access your financial accounts, banking information, payroll data, employee records, or any data beyond invoice records.

2. How We Use Your Data

The invoice data accessed from QuickBooks Online is used solely to generate a Valor Pay Tech hosted payment link (“PayNow link”). Specifically:

• Invoice data is retrieved from the QBO API when you request a PayNow link.
• That data is transmitted to the Valor Pay Tech API to create the payment link.
• The generated link and invoice summary are displayed to you in the Application interface.

We do not use your data for marketing, advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than generating payment links as described above.

3. Data Storage and Retention

The Application runs locally on your computer. Here is how data is handled:

• OAuth tokens (access token and refresh token for QBO) are stored in a local configuration file (config.json) on your machine. These tokens are used to authenticate with the QuickBooks API and are refreshed automatically.
• Invoice data is retrieved on demand and held only in memory for the duration of the request. It is not stored persistently on disk, in a database, or on any remote server.
• No data is transmitted to Homer Fire Protection. The Application does not send any of your data to our servers. All communication occurs directly between your computer, the Intuit QBO API, and the Valor Pay Tech API.

4. Third-Party Data Sharing

Your data is shared with the following third parties, solely for the purposes described:

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to any third party. We do not share data with analytics providers, advertising networks, or data brokers.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data:

• All communication with the QBO API and Valor Pay Tech API is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
• OAuth tokens are stored locally on your machine and are not transmitted to any Homer Fire Protection server.
• The Application uses the standard OAuth 2.0 protocol for QuickBooks authorization, including CSRF protection.

You are responsible for securing access to the machine on which the Application runs, including the config.json file that contains your credentials.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Disconnect at any time. You can revoke the Application’s access to your QuickBooks Online account through the Application’s settings page or directly through your Intuit account at accounts.intuit.com.
• Delete local data. You can delete the config.json file at any time to remove all stored credentials from your machine.
• Request information. You may contact us to ask what data the Application accesses, and we will provide a clear explanation.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Application is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Compliance with Intuit Platform Policies

This Application complies with Intuit’s platform policies, including data handling requirements for QuickBooks Online connected apps. We access only the minimum data necessary to provide the Application’s functionality, we do not store QBO data beyond what is required for authentication, and we provide clear disclosure of our data practices in this Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the Application after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
